about the photographer
i like your vibe!
I'm so glad you're here! My name is Sam, and I was created to create! I'm a portrait and wedding photographer based out of Reno, Nevada. Originally from Sacramento, California.
I've been photographing portraits and weddings professionally for over 6 years! I have been passionate about photography since I was a child, and started my journey as a photographer when I was in high school. My goal as a photographer has always been to provide clients' with the most authentic and wallet-friendly photographs as possible. I strive to always be the most genuine version of myself, and to make others laugh till their bones hurt!
I pride myself on being able to produce candid and posed timeless images using both natural and artificial lighting. I would consider my style of photography true to color and all-encompassing.
Throughout my time as a photographer, I've learned that there is nothing I love more than the connections I make with my clients. I am here to serve you! Not just to photograph your big day or capture a few good photos of your family - but to be a part of the experience and help document all of your biggest celebrations in life! Whether thats graduating school, welcoming a new baby into the world, or committing to the love of your life. I am here to help celebrate your big day, celebrate your family, and celebrate you. And to capture it as authentically as possible. Let's smile together!
"Among the crème de la crème of Reno portrait photographers, Sam Murray produces classic celebrations of feel-good times in the form of thoughtful images. They range from casual candids to wedding and family occasions.
Her deft hand captures joy warmly and across a rich range of colors that one never tires of looking for—though she knows her way around a classic black-and-white edit as well. The ease with which a semi-naked couple poses in a bathtub or an infant devours more cake than he possibly can only further cements the fact people trust Murray to capture their most intimate and authentic moments."
